Tech Tip: How to exchange ATF in Ford 8- and 10-speed transmissions

July 9, 2021
Flo-Dynamics offers two techniques on how to quickly exchange the ATF in newer Ford 8- and 10-speed transmissions.

Exchanging the ATF in newer Ford 8 and 10 speed transmissions has been a challenge… until now! Previously, you’d have to warm up the transmission to operating temperature before the internal thermostat would open up and circulate outside the transmission, which could take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. Flo-Dynamics now offers adapters to either service via dipstick mode or inline mode while bypassing the internal thermostat, eliminating the wait time. The instructions will show you how and where to connect, saving your shop time and money.
