Gates corporation receives Friends of NACAT Award for Supporting and Promoting Automotive Education.

Gates Corporation, a global, diversified manufacturer of industrial and automotive products, was presented with the Friends of NACAT award by the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) at the organization’s July conference in Tyler, Tex.

The annual award is given to a company that is active in supporting NACAT in its mission to promote, update, and improve automotive service education. Citing Gates strong educational offerings, tools, and online resources, Patrick Brown Harrison, president of NACAT, presented the award to Gates North America Training Manager Bobby Bassett.

"Gates appreciates NACAT's educational efforts and is happy to support the organization," said Bassett. "We know that providing automotive educators with resources and learning platforms like Tools for Schools is extremely important for improving and advancing our industry."

In addition to Tools for Schools, Gates offers several other automotive education resources, including Gates Performance Center, which features self-directed online courses.
