University of the Aftermarket Foundation to exhibit at AAPEX

Oct. 10, 2013
University of the Aftermarket Foundation offers educational opportunities.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation will be on site at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) as part of the AWDA pavilion at booth 3667.

“There is no better place than AAPEX to interact with industry professionals and spread the word about the mission of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation,” said Rusty Bishop, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “Our goal is to help secure the future of the aftermarket by making education more readily available to qualified candidates who seek a career in our great industry.”

AAPEX attendees can visit the University of the Aftermarket Foundation booth 3667 to learn about the scholarships and educational opportunities funded by the foundation, and those who would like to make a contribution to the foundation can do so on site. Donations will be used to help aspiring students take the first step into the aftermarket by providing vocational school and university scholarships. In addition, matching grants will be funded for young technicians who have worked in the industry for at least six months.

Prior to the start of AAPEX, the Automotive Aftermarket Riders’ Club (AARC) will “ride for the future” from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, raising funds for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. To sponsor the AARC Ride for the Future, contact Mike Mohler at [email protected]. To make a donation directly to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, visit AAPEX booth 3667 or call (816) 584-0511.
