Federal-Mogul Motorparts will open regional training centers in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas/Fort Worth and Rancho Dominguez, Calif.

Federal-Mogul Motorparts next week will expand its "Garage Gurus" technical education network with the grand openings of regional training centers in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Rancho Dominguez, Calif. The company, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation, launched the Garage Gurus network in April with training centers in Skokie, Ill., Van Nuys, Calif., and the Bronx, N.Y.

Garage Gurus is a "Tech First" initiative designed to help repair professionals keep pace with the latest automotive technologies. Each state-of-the-art Garage Gurus training center offers more than 100 onsite, online and on-demand courses taught by the company's team of more than 100 ASE-certified "Gurus." The network reaches thousands of additional repair professionals on the job through Web-connected "Gurus-On-The-Go" product technology vans.

"The Garage Gurus concept has been extremely popular in each of our initial markets," says Dan Ninivaggi, CEO, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. "The demand for technical education and advanced product support at the shop level has never been greater. I believe it is our responsibility as a leading manufacturer to help these front-line professionals better understand, diagnose and repair the latest vehicle technologies."

With the four grand openings next week, the Garage Gurus network will expand to seven major markets with combined reach to more than 45,000 automotive repair businesses. Eight additional Garage Gurus training centers are scheduled to open later this year.

"Garage Gurus is an investment in our industry, our channel partners and in our own business," Ninivaggi says. "We all depend on the continued vitality of the automotive service provider. This initiative helps ensure that these professionals have convenient access to the knowledge and skills they need to grow their businesses through product and service excellence."
