American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council has extended the deadline for the National Student Technician Competition, TMCFutureTech 2015, to August 28. Applications can be found on event sponsor Velociti Inc.’s, website at http://www.velociti.com/TMC-FUTURE-TECH.
The event, designed to promote career opportunities as heavy duty technicians, will be held in conjunction with the National Technician Skills Competition —TMCSuperTech 2015 — held by American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council during its Fall Meeting, Sept. 21-24, in Orlando, Fla.
TMCFutureTech 2015 consists of a set of skill stations for technician students that takes place at the same time as TMCSuperTech 2015 for professional technicians. This year, the student competition will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Winners will be announced the next day at the TMCSuperTech 2015 Awards Luncheon. Registration for TMCFutureTech 2015, for a fee of $200, is limited to 80 individuals. The registration deadline is August 21, 2015.
Velociti will present a starter toolbox to the top three student winners at the TMCSuperTech 2015 Awards Luncheon and present electric training boards to the schools of the top three winners during the TMC Annual Meeting in March.
