ZF Aftermarket to showcase entire product portfolio at AAPEX and SEMA

Oct. 2, 2018
Attendees will have the opportunity at a hands-on experience with ZF technology and receive training from their technical team.

This year’s Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show attendees will have the chance to see ZF's entire product portfolio at the ZF Aftermarket booth (AAPEX booth No. 5062, Mobility Garage booth No. 58005 and SEMA booth No. 61010.)

For long term success, it is important to develop from a traditional repair business to a smart mobility service provider. As ZF Aftermarket will prove during the 2018 Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week, the concepts and products necessary for success already exist.

ZF Aftermarket strives to turn challenges such as digitalization and electromobility into business opportunities for its customers.

“At ZF Aftermarket, we are focused on products and services that serve the needs of our customers. Through involvement early on in automotive technology, we combine that knowledge with the direction of the market to implement those new solutions,” said Mark Thorpe, ZF Aftermarket Head of Independent Aftermarket, United States and Canada.

Product development

ZF Aftermarket strives to provide customers with the latest and most innovative technology and this year AAPEX attendees will have the opportunity at a hands-on experience with this technology, the company says.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take an inside look at a ZF transmission with Hololens technology. This advanced technology allows viewers to take a tour through the inner workings of a ZF transmission, viewing each of the unit’s components working together.

After taking a tour of the inside of a ZF transmission, attendees will have the chance to go hands-on with a variety of different ZF Aftermarket products, including: a ZF 8 speed hybrid transmission, a full TRW branded Corner Module unit, a SACHS Dual-Mass Flywheel, Lemförder chassis products and much more.

Technical training education

The ZF Technical Training team will also be a prominent feature at the AAPEX show this year; totaling more than 20 technical training sessions at both ZF booth No. 5062 and the Mobility Garage, booth No. 58005. Training topics range from modern driving dynamics to the basics of ZF transmission technology.

ZF Aftermarket will also be hosting a technology session at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31 at the Let’s Tech stage. ZF Technical Training Manager, Dirk Fuchs, will present “Radar Sensors in Modern Chassis Systems,” which discusses how to identify different driver assist functions and their operations, while also being able to describe functions and impact of radar and camera systems. ZF Aftermarket is excited to continue to share ZF technical knowledge with the Let’s Tech stage.
