This bulletin applies to 2007-2013 Chevy Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe; Cadillac Escalade; and GMC Sierra and Yukon models. During a low battery/voltage condition, the Passenger Presence System (PPS) may set a B1325 and/or B1000 along with other faults that are caused by a low battery/voltage condition.

Depending on the order in which the DTCs are serviced, a PPS module may be replaced for a fault caused by the low battery/voltage condition.

For any vehicle that has a B1325 and/or B1000 fault in the PPS module, correct the issue which caused the low battery/voltage condition first. Once that fault has been corrected, check for active faults in the PPS module.

If the other PPS faults are in history, do not replace the PPS module. Please note any history codes on the repair order and then clear the PPS faults. Turn the ignition off, open and close the driver’s door and wait for the interior dome light to go out. Turn the ignition on and see if there are any active faults. If there are no active faults, release the vehicle. In this case, the true cause of the other PPS faults was the low battery/voltage condition.
