Replace Subaru EPS Module

This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek vehicles equipped with EPS (electronic power steering). If you receive a customer concern of the EPS warning light, and diagnostics show DTC C2532 stored in memory, a new EPS control unit is now available to address this code. There may also be a customer concern of increased steering effort along with the EPS warning light.

This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek vehicles equipped with EPS (electronic power steering). If you receive a customer concern of the EPS warning light, and diagnostics show DTC C2532 stored in memory, a new EPS control unit is now available to address this code. There may also be a customer concern of increased steering effort along with the EPS warning light.

This applies to XV Crosstrek vehicles, starting with VIN  E*097181. The new part number for the revised EPS control unit is 34710FJ031 for five-door 2013 models; and 34710FJ120 for five-door 2014 models.

Once you verify the EPS light and DTC C2532 (ECU Failure 2) is current or stored in memory, replace the EPS control module.
