This bulletin applies to 2017-2018 Audi A4 and A4 Allroad, and 2018 A5, A5 Cabriolet, A5 Sportback and Q5 vehicles. An “All Wheel Drive Malfunction” message may be displayed in the instrument cluster, and DTC U030000 (internal control module software incompatibility active/static) may be logged in the all-wheel-drive control module.
This is due to a Quattro Ultra software error. New software in the all-wheel drive control module, J492 (address word 0022) addresses the condition.
Check the software version number in the all-wheel drive control module. If the software version number is lower than 0006, update the software. Update the all-wheel drive control module using the SVM action code listed below.
