Some 2006-2011 Lincoln Town Car vehicles may exhibit water dripping from the drain holes, located on the underside of the luggage compartment lid when the lid is raised.

Some 2006-2011 Lincoln Town Car vehicles may exhibit water dripping from the drain holes, located on the underside of the luggage compartment lid when the lid is raised.

1. Remove the reverse lamp assembly. On the side of the reverse lamp assembly that mounts to the deck lid, cut and remove a 1/8-inch wide section from the center of the lower foam seal to allow for drainage of water that accumulates between the reverse lamp assembly and the deck lid.

2. Clean off the area where the reverse lamp assembly upper seal contacts the deck lid. Cut two 15-inch long pieces of butyl-foam core sealant tape and install it on either side of center along the upper surface.

3. Apply a small amount of clear RTV silicone around the base of each of the seven assembly mounting studs.

4. Install the reverse lamp assembly.
