Some 2021 Ford F-150 vehicles built on or before June 14, 2021, may exhibit a rubbing noise at the front while driving and/or DTC C0031 and/or C0034 in the anti-lock braking system module. This may be caused by an incorrectly routed front brake flexible hose.

With the vehicle on the ground or on a drive-on hoist and the steering wheel centered, inspect the routing of both front flexible brake hoses. The flex hoses must travel downward on the frame side before bending near where they enter the brackets secured to the steering knuckles. There should be greater than ¾-inch clearance between the brake hose and the wheel/tire assembly.

When re-routing a brake hose, always replace the sealing washers (P/N W711784-S300). That part number includes two washers. If brake hoses require replacement, right side hose is P/N ML3Z-2078-K. Left hose is ML3Z-2078-L.
