This bulletin applies to 2011-2016 Kia Soul vehicles equipped with Blind Spot Detection (BSD). The system may exhibit a “Check BSD System” message along with DTCs C270254 (control module master missing calibration) and C270354 (control module slave missing calibration).

It is important to note that the BSD system calibration must be performed after any rear collision repairs. Failure to do so can result in improper BSD operation.

1. Using a KDS/GDS, select “BSD Radar calibration” in the BSD system..

2. Perform the “BSD Radar Calibration” procedure according to the KDS screen.

3. Once the procedure is complete, test drive the vehicle at speeds above 20 mph to verify proper operation.
