This bulletin applies to 2015-2019 Audi A3 and S3 vehicles equipped with drive select and magnetic shock absorbers. Cracking noises and spring jumps may be experienced while steering/maneuvering.

The noise can be reproduced when at least two people are in the vehicle and the steering wheel is just before the right/left stop.

The fix is simple: Lightly lubricate the contact surface between the buffer stop and the shock cap, with 5 grams of silicon grease G 000 405 A2 per side. Be sure to check the protective sleeve of the front shocks for correct fit. They should turn easily in the axial deep-groove ball bearing/sleeve bearing.
