This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 Jeep Wrangler vehicles built between May 2, 2013, and Aug. 22, 2013. The engine cooling fan operation may not be properly configured.

The fix may require reprogramming software using release 14.01 or higher. The customer may experience the temperature gauge reading high and the fan not activating as needed.

Using a scan tool, first check for DTCs. If any are set, record and repair as needed before the reflash.

Using wiTECH, the reconfigure procedure is available under the diagnostic procedures tab found on the home page Vehicle View of wiTECH.
