This bulletin applies to 2014 BMW 328i models. One or more of the following conditions may be present:

  • Engine will not start.
  • Engine stops running.
  • The A/C compressor will not turn on.
  • The reverse lights do not work.
  • The transmission will not shift into gear.
  • Various chassis and engine check control messages are present.

The cause may be due to a loose ground point Z6000*4B on the engine block, near the starter.

Check and tighten the ground point Z6000*4B to 8Nm.Clear all fault codes that might have been stored if the ground was found to be loose.
