This bulletin applies to 2010-2014 Chevy Camaro vehicles. Customers may comment about an intermittent pop or multiple popping noises from the rear of the vehicle shortly after a cold start (this may also occur after an EVAP purge event).
The technician should be able to duplicate the concern by commanding a purge and seal on the EVAP system using GDS2. As the vacuum reaches 3 to 5 inches, the pop noise should be duplicated.
The cause for the concern is the auxiliary fuel module in the left side of the fuel tank changing height (spring loaded leg) as the fuel tank collapses slightly. Replace the auxiliary fuel module with a newly designed part if this concern is present.
The newly designed auxiliary fuel module is available as P/N 13592089.
