Some owners of 2010 Cadillac SRX vehicles may complain about a creak or pop noise heard from the front hub bearing while making a turn. The condition may be caused when the front hub fasteners that secure the bearing to the knuckle may have lost their torque.

Some owners of 2010 Cadillac SRX vehicles may complain about a creak or pop noise heard from the front hub bearing while making a turn. The condition may be caused when the front hub fasteners that secure the bearing to the knuckle may have lost their torque.

Check the torque of the three bolts for the front wheel hub. Torque value should be 125 ft.-lbs. If the bolts are loose, replace the bolts and apply medium Loctite 248 or equivalent to the threads before installing, and torque the new bolts to 125 ft.-lbs.

New hub bolts are available under P/N 11515780 (metric heavy hex flange head reduced).
