Update programming of the PCM with improved software to correct this DTC. StarMOBILE software update programming files for this bulletin must be retrieved from the internet. The software level must be at release 10.01 or higher. StarMOBILE Standalone Mode or StarMOBILE Desktop Client may also be used to perform the procedure.

Using a StarMOBILE with ElsaWeb and the appropriate diagnostic procedures, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present, record and repair as needed before reprogramming.

1. Reprogram the PCM with the latest software.

2. After PCM reprogramming, clear any DTCs that may have set in other modules. Clear the Variable Line Pressure (VLP) counters, found in the Misc. Function menu for the PCM/ECU.

3. Perform the Quick Learn function, found in the Misc. Function menu for the PCM/ECU.
