Certain 2019 Chevy Corvette vehicles equipped with the LT5 6.2L supercharged V8 engine may experience a fuel injector commanded on for 7.5 seconds when exiting deceleration fuel cutoff, causing the engine to misfire. This may result in excess fuel in the exhaust causing flames to exit the tailpipes, which may damage the rear fascia and the ZR1 badge.

To correct this condition, reprogram the ECM with the latest software. Clear the powertrain DTCs after programming. This will set the inspection/maintenance system status indicators to NO.
