Sticking Mustang TCC

Some 2018 Ford Mustang GT vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission and built on or before Nov. 20, 2017, may exhibit an illuminated MIL, with DTC P0741 and P1744 stored in the PCM or transmission control module (TCM).

Some 2018 Ford Mustang GT vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission and built on or before Nov. 20, 2017, may exhibit an illuminated MIL, with DTC P0741 and P1744 stored in the PCM or transmission control module (TCM).

This may be due to a sticking torque converter clutch (TCC) valve in the main control valve body assembly.

Replace the main control valve body assembly with P/N JL3Z-7A100-B. Use ATF Mercon ULV, P/N XT-12-QULV (6 quarts).
