This bulletin applies to 2018 Jeep Renegade, Cherokee and Compass vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine, involving replacing the PCM due to a P2226 DTC (barometric pressure sensor).

This bulletin applies to 2018 Jeep Renegade, Cherokee and Compass vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine, involving replacing the PCM due to a P2226 DTC (barometric pressure sensor).

The customer may see a MIL on and the vehicle may go into limp mode due to an inaccurate barometric pressure sensor reading. This only applies to vehicles on Jeep’s VIN list for potential trouble vehicles:

  • KL vehicles built on or after Nov. 14, 2017 (MDH 1114XX), and on or before Jan. 2, 2018 (MDH 0102XX).
  • BU & FB vehicles built on or after Feb. 2, 2018 (MDH 0202XX), and on or before March 9, 2018 (MDH 0309XX).
  • MP vehicles built on or after Dec. 19, 2017 (MDH 1219XX), and on or before Jan. 4, 2018 (MDH 0104XX).
