Some 2014-2015 Toyota Tundra vehicles equipped with a 3UR-FE engine and supercharger may experience a MIL on, with DTC P0101 (mass airflow circuit range/performance problem). The repair requires Techstream 2.0 or Lite and software version 10.20.030 or later.
Replace the air cleaner box (case) and inlet flow accumulator. Remove the air inlet tube. Disconnect the vacuum and ventilation hoses and loosen the two clamps. Remove the air cleaner lid. Disconnect the MAF meter connector. Unfasten the four hook clamps and remove and discard the air cleaner element. Remove the MAF meter from the air cleaner lid. Discard the air cleaner lid but retain the two screws. Install the MAF meter in the new lid and torque the screws to 15 in-lb. Remove the air cleaner case by removing the two bolts. Install the new air cleaner case using the new bolts that are pre-installed. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to unclip and discard the air inlet flow accumulator from the air cleaner case. The inlet to the case is inserted into and snaps to the airflow accelerator. Once the two parts are snapped together, push the airflow accelerator further through the panel so that the two bolt holes line up. Torque the bolts to 44 in-lb.
Install the new air filter, airbox lid and air inlet tube
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Clear any DTCs. Turn the ignition OFF and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Start the engine and warm it up until reaching 158 degrees or more.
Drive the vehicle at about 50 to 70 mph for 5five minutes or more. Keep engine load as stable as possible.
Confirm there are no pending or current DTCs present.
