This bulletin applies to 2007-2008 Nissan Maxima (A34) and 2009-2012 Maxima (A35) vehicles. If the vehicle exhibits low power 0-40 mph but power is normal above 40 mph and there are no DTCs, the most likely cause is an issue with the output signal from an ABS/VDC wheel speed sensor (wiring or debris on the sensor/rotor).

A weak or erratic output signal from a wheel speed sensor can cause poor performance or a lack of power from a stop or at low speeds. Perform “line graph” diagnostics on each sensor while driving. Inspect and repair as needed any sensor with a spike in the line output signal or that has a different value than the other sensors.
