Replace RAM Rear Axle to Stop Noise

This bulletin applies to 2017 RAM 1500 vehicles built on or after Nov. 16, 2016 and on or before Dec. 22, 2016, equipped with a 5.7L engine and 3.92 rear axle ratio. The rear axle may develop a whining noise.

This bulletin applies to 2017 RAM 1500 vehicles built on or after Nov. 16, 2016 and on or before Dec. 22, 2016, equipped with a 5.7L engine and 3.92 rear axle ratio. The rear axle may develop a whining noise.

Replace the rear axle. If equipped with air suspension, disable the air suspension system and deflate the spring to the reservoir before servicing the rear axle. New fasteners must be used...do not reuse old fasteners.
