Replace Lincoln Shaft Seal

This bulletin applies to 2013-2018 Lincoln MKZ with 2.0L or 3.0L EcoBoost, 2015-2018 MKC with 2.0L or 2.3L EcoBoost, 2016-2018 MKX with 2.0L or 2.7L EcoBoost, and 2017-2018 Continental with 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine.

This bulletin applies to 2013-2018 Lincoln MKZ with 2.0L or 3.0L EcoBoost, 2015-2018 MKC with 2.0L or 2.3L EcoBoost, 2016-2018 MKX with 2.0L or 2.7L EcoBoost, and 2017-2018 Continental with 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine.

Some AWD vehicles may exhibit a dark black fluid leak from the right side transfer case intermediate shaft seal. Replace the seal. It is not necessary to remove the PTU (power transfer unit) to replace this seal.
