Checking for Missing Chevy Retaining Bolt

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Chevy Silverado vehicles equipped with an 8L45 or 8L90 transmission. You may encounter no vehicle movement after a valve body replacement.

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Chevy Silverado vehicles equipped with an 8L45 or 8L90 transmission. You may encounter no vehicle movement after a valve body replacement. This may be caused by a plug and retaining bolt missing on the valve body. Inspect for the plug (see one in photo) and retaining bolt (2). The plug and retaining bolt are packaged as a kit.

The kit P/N is WPC 853 and can be obtained from the Warranty Parts Center (WPC) using the TSP Dealer Request Form. This form is located on “Global Connect
