Some customers may comment about a Service Power Steering message displayed on the DIC (driver information center) after a cold start. DTCs may include C056D 3C, C0475 00 on the power steering control module, or the BCM reporting a U0131 set as current or history.

1. Inspect the G111 ground and the 100A F3UB (see image one) fuse for proper connection. Ensure the ground is free of paint and is tight.

2. Tighten the G111 ground (see image two) to 80 in-lb, F3UB fuse to 42 in-lb.

3. Fully charge the battery using the GR-8 tool.

4. Reprogram the power steering control module using the SPS (service programming system) with the latest calibrations available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the power steering control module programming and setup procedure in the service manual.
