This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Mitsubishi Mirage and 2016-2023 Mirage G4 vehicles, dealing with axle assembly replacement. Technicians were advised to correctly torque the attaching bolts and not to use air tools when installing the rear axle.

The rear toe is not adjustable as it has a solid rear axle with a fixed spindle. The service manual does not give a specification for thrust angle, only total toe. The specification for total toe is 0.10 +/- 0.12 inches. Expressed in degrees, the total toe spec is anywhere between -0.50 and .55 degrees. Technicians should note that deviations in thrust angle are a characteristic of the vehicle. Mitsubishi does not recognize the alignment specifications of third parties when they are not consistent with service manual alignment specs. When the total toe is within factory specs, no repairs are necessary. A lack of tire rotations will give the appearance that there is an alignment concern.
