This bulletin applies to 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles that exhibit a front knuckle click or pop noise. The noise may occur while traveling at low speeds and steering to the right or left.

Park the vehicle in a quiet area. Leave the transmission in park. Run both front windows fully down. Fully rotate the steering wheel ten times, from left stop to right stop, and listen for a pop or click noise. If the noise is heard, apply Loctite 290 wicking grade mil-spec medium-high strength green thread locker to both hub joints. Chrysler’s P/N for this Loctite 290 is NPN. Important: Do not use any substitute...you must use Loctite 290 wicking grade green thread locker.

Important: prior to applying the Loctite, clean the top of the hub joint with a wire brush and wipe with a rag. Drip the Loctite in a continuous bead along the top of the hub-to-knuckle joint.

Avoid getting any Loctite 290 on the outboard seal of the hub bearings to avoid bearing damage. Also, do not allow the Loctite to drip into the wheel speed sensors.

Allow the Loctite to cure for 20 minutes on each hub joint. The Loctite will wick into the joints.

Install the brake rotors. Verify the repair by performing the steering wheel lock-to-lock operation ten times to verify that the click/pop noise is gone.
