Quieting Toyota Clicking Noise

Some 2017 Toyota 86 vehicles may exhibit a clicking noise from the rear CV axle while driving. This noise may be intermittent depending on the driving pattern.

Some 2017 Toyota 86 vehicles may exhibit a clicking noise from the rear CV axle while driving. This noise may be intermittent depending on the driving pattern.

If you confirm the condition, remove the rear drive shaft assembly and apply grease to the mating surface between the hub unit and drive shaft, using Toyota grease P/N 08887-02007. Perform the repair to both RH and LH rear drive shafts. Replace the two rear axle shaft nuts using P/N SU003-02864.
