Correcting Lincoln Temperature Readings

Some 2017 Lincoln Continental vehicles built on or before April 4, 2017, may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0071, inaccurate outside temperature readings, front parking aid faults with DTC B1B42 and/or an inaccurate front parking aid system.

Some 2017 Lincoln Continental vehicles built on or before April 4, 2017, may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0071, inaccurate outside temperature readings, front parking aid faults with DTC B1B42 and/or an inaccurate front parking aid system.

1. Using a scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If the aforementioned DTCs and concerns are found, raise the vehicle on a lift.

2. Remove the lower radiator closeout panel.

3. Visually inspect Connector C136 for water corrosion.

4. If water corrosion is found, remove the front bumper cover and replace the 15K867 wiring harness located on the back side of the bumper cover.
