FYI For Acura Transmission Dye

According to Acura, they do not approve the use of dye when checking for a transmission leak in the following applications: 2013-2014 ILX Hybrid CVT, 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid DCT and 2016 MDX/2015 TLX equipped with a 9-speed A/T.

According to Acura, they do not approve the use of dye when checking for a transmission leak in the following applications: 2013-2014 ILX Hybrid CVT, 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid DCT and 2016 MDX/2015 TLX equipped with a 9-speed A/T.

The bulletin notes that if traces of dye are found in a failed transmission returned under warranty, the claim will be “debited.” Just thought you’d want to know.
