Mending Nissan EVAP Leak

This bulletin applies to all 2008 and later Nissan vehicles except LEAF and Titan XD V8 diesel vehicles. The MIL may be on, accompanied by DTC P0456 (EVAP very small leak).

This bulletin applies to all 2008 and later Nissan vehicles except LEAF and Titan XD V8 diesel vehicles. The MIL may be on, accompanied by DTC P0456 (EVAP very small leak).

If you determine that the DTC is not caused by a loose fuel fill cap and an EVAP leak is detected where the vent control valve mounts to the canister, the vent control valve O-ring seal is likely the cause. Replace the vent control valve as an assembly, as the O-ring is no longer available as a separate part.
