This bulletin applies to 2011-2019 Chevy Volt.
If an HV battery section is replaced for any reason, you may encounter a replacement section that is missing one or more tabs for retaining the wiring harness.
Due to variances in manufacturing, some sections were built missing some retaining tabs. According to Chevy, there is no reliability concern from this condition.
1. Verify if any tabs are missing.
2. If partial tab material is still present and could chafe the harness, then using pliers or similar tools remove any excess material from the tab area.
3. Using locally sourced adhesive-backed Velcro, cut approximately a 1-inch strip to be used to attach the harness to the section.
4. Attach one side of the Velcro in the area shown in the photo.
5. Attach the other side of the Velcro tape to the wiring harness in the corresponding location.
6. Press the two sides of the Velcro together, attaching the harness to the correct location on the battery section.
