This bulletin applies to 2015-2020 Honda Fit vehicles. The blower motor may run slowly, intermittently stop working or may make excessive noise. Inspect the dust and pollen filter (cabin filter). If needed, replace it with a new activated charcoal filter P/N 80291-T5A-J01. Then, replace the blower motor with P/N 79310-T5R-A01.

Turn the ignition to the off position. Open the glove box down to access the area behind the dashboard. Remove the lid and remove the cabin filter. Note that the “old” previous filter was white. The new activated charcoal filter is dark in color.

If the old filter is white, replace only with an activated charcoal filter. If the existing filter is already an activated charcoal filter, do not replace it unless dirty.

Remove the passenger-side dashboard undercover and disconnect the blower motor connector. Remove the harness clip. Remove the three screws and remove the blower motor. Install the new blower motor and reassemble. Check the operation of the new blower motor and make sure that there is no air leakage.
