Subaru has updated the clutch system parts for 2015-2018 WRX vehicles.

Subaru has updated the clutch system parts for 2015-2018 WRX vehicles. The new clutch system components optimize durability and resistance to certain severe driving conditions including high-temperature operation.

The new clutch components were incorporated into production during mid-2018 production starting with VIN J*806877.

The new components consist of the following:

- 12342AA170 Flywheel AY-Flex assembly. The facing diameter increased from 230 to 240mm. Larger clutch cover bolt circle to accommodate a larger facing and clutch disc. Yellow paint mark near crankshaft bolt circle for easy identification.

- 30210AA800 complete clutch cover. Outside of cover stamped with #AA800 for identification. The facing diameter increased to 240mm.

- 30100AB030 clutch disc. The lining diameter increased to 240mm. P/N 30100AB030 applied to hub area.

- 30502AA160 clutch release bearing.

- 36004VA030 brake and clutch pedal assembly. Change to clutch pedal design to maintain current pedal dynamics when using the afore-noted components. White 8V paint marking applied to clutch pedal arm.

Note: Never attempt to resurface the flywheel.
