Replacing Ram 1500 A/C expansion valve

This bulletin applies to 2019-2021 Ram 1500 trucks built on or before Nov. 6, 2021, and equipped with air conditioning.

Verify proper A/C performance and verify that the whistling noise is gone. Recharge the system using R-1234YF refrigerant.

This bulletin applies to 2019-2021 Ram 1500 trucks built on or before Nov. 6, 2021 and equipped with air conditioning.

A whistling noise may be heard after the engine is shut off. Remove and replace the A/C expansion valve P/N 68396043AB. Verify proper A/C performance and verify that the whistling noise is gone. Recharge the system using R-1234YF refrigerant.
