This bulletin applies to 2019 Audi S4 and S5 vehicles equipped with a 3.0 TFSI engine. The MIL may be on.

A maximum engine speed message may appear in the instrument cluster. The vehicle may experience reduced engine performance.

One or more of the following DTCs may be stored in the ECM:

- P191B00 (coolant fan control module implausible signal)

- P10EF00 (function limitation due to failure of cooling)

- P048000 (cooling fan one control circuit)

A poor electrical connection to the cooling fan is suspected (connector not seated, loose terminal, etc.). Inspect the connector for the radiator fan.

Note: while running the test plan during the fan RPM sweep, it is normal to see the fan slightly hesitate at the beginning of the sweep. Do not replace the fan for this condition.
