The NOCO Genius Boost Pro 4000A 12V UltraSafe Li-ion Jump Starter, No. GB150, is a 4,000-amp Li-ion jump starter that delivers 22,500 joules of starting power for up to 80 charges on a single charge. It offers spark-proof technology and reverse polarity protection, and it is designed for use with gas engines and diesel engines up to 10L. The GB150 holds its charge for up to one year and doubles as a portable power source for recharging smartphones or powering 12V devices, such as a tire inflator or a power inverter. It charges in just under five hours, and it features an ultra-bright 500 lm LED flashlight with seven light modes.

This jump starter is meant for anyone with a dead battery. Because of its compact and lightweight design, it's not only easy to carry, but also easy to store within the vehicle. Most lead-acid jump starters with similar power ratings are so big and heavy that they are regulated to a garage.

Origin

For years NOCO wanted to enter the jump starter market, but refused to make a lead-acid version due to the significant weaknesses with the technology. Lithium-ion technology afforded the opportunity to create an compact and portable jump starter with similar performance levels as lead-acid technology and without all the negative drawbacks. For example, lead-acid technology has a high-discharge rate, and extremely sensitive to being left in a discharged state. A discharged lead-acid battery develops battery sulfation when left discharged, which is a condition that permanently loses battery capacity. When looking at the value-mapping chain of lead-battery production, to assembly, to shipment to the United States and ultimately shipment to the end-user, the batteries inside lead-acid jump starters are destroyed. Lithium-ion technology solves this issue.

Storage and display

The GB150 ships two per case. Each unit is packaged in an inner carton and a full-color retail box. The GB150 includes the jump starter, USB charging cable, 12V male and female adapter, one-year limited warranty and lifetime support.
