The Prevost prevoS1 Quick Connect Safety Air Coupling combines technology and reliability that is safe and easy to use. To quickly change tools, simply press the button one time to disconnect with no risk of dangerous hose whip. When paired with a Prevost plug, it is guaranteed leak-free for three years. The non-scratch composite body is available in four different profiles, is ergonomic, and is constructed of static-free material. The company says this coupling is ideal for any shop application.

Origin

Prevost developed this product with safety as their priority. Previous options to decompress a system required a two handed push/pull movement, which is not only difficult at times but also created an opportunity for hose whip to occur. The prevoS1 uses a simple push of a button, removing risk of accidental hose whip.

Manufacturing/Engineering Specifications

The prevoS1 has a temperature range of 5 to 158 degrees F and an operating pressure of 29 to 174 psi. Its polymer composite body is lightweight and able to withstand tough environments. The body also features anti-corrosive steel internal mechanisms and thread as well as a nitrile NBR leak-free O-ring.

Storage and Display

The 1/4” couplings are sold in packs of 10, 3/8” in packs of five, and 1/2” are sold by piece. Prevost recommends displaying the couplings with a prevoS1 Blowgun to allow for quick demonstrations.
