The Wilton Multi-Purpose Bench Vise 4-1/2", No. 28844 and 6-1/2", No. 28845 Vises are ideally used in applications such as automotive service work, light tradesman jobs, and for general use.

Origin

These are the smaller and larger sizes of the recently launched Wilton 5-1/2" Multi-Purpose Vise. These vises were designed to be adaptable to a wide range of applications, securely holding a variety of material shapes and sizes at different angles for increased productivity on the job. 

Manufacturing/engineering specifications 

The main body and movable jaw of these vises are made from durable 30,000 psi grey cast iron while the swivel base is made of 60,000 psi ductile iron for even greater resistance to damage on the job. The 28844 has a maximum jaw opening of 4", a throat depth of 2-1/4", and weighs 23.1 lbs, and the 28845 has a maximum jaw opening of 6", a throat depth of 3-1/4", and weighs 61.6 lbs.

These vises are individually packaged inside a single box for easy storage and distribution.
