Over 30 new products released at the 2024 ISN Tool Dealer Expo

July 19, 2024
The nearly 2,000 attendees at the show had a chance to get a first look at the new products and take advantage of the expo-exclusive deals.

The 24th annual ISN Tool Dealer Expo drew in nearly 2,000 attendees between the show registrants, supplier reps, and ISN team members. Hosted at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from July 19-20, the Tool Dealer Expo offered attendees a first look at new products, expo-exclusive deals, product training, a chance to win a variety of prizes, and a space to connect with others in the industry.

During this year’s show, ISN was also celebrating K-Tool’s 40th anniversary. The brand started with 150 core products in 1984 and has expanded to offer over 3,500 products for automotive professionals.

Pete Peterson, ISN president noted that at the K-Tool booth, they were not only celebrating, but also reinforcing their commitment to the brand.
“And also [reinforcing our] commitment to making sure that we’re providing best-in-class products and solutions and getting feedback from our customers,” Peterson said. “At the end of the day, your input from your customers on what’s working and what they need to deliver solutions is important.”

Product training

Similar to last year, the expo had a dedicated training area right on the show floor. All the suppliers were offered the opportunity to provide training on their products and expand on how to use them, leverage them, warranty information, and more.

Peterson noted that having this training available to attendees is “absolutely critical.”
“This is an opportunity for [the suppliers] to launch [new products] and have a great second half of the year,” Peterson explained. “The best way to do that is to train [the attendees], giving them information on how it works, how to better utilize it, and we provide that platform.”

On the show floor

With over 30 suppliers launching new products at the expo, attendees had the chance to get an exclusive first look. Some of the new products released included the SUNEX Tools Juic’d Box – a seven-drawer powered cart that can charge 14 tools simultaneously, the Atlas Automotive Equipment Spray Wash Cabinet – the cabinet features 19 high-pressure spray jets to get tools clean, the VIM Tools Oil Filter Pliers, the Ingersoll Rand DXS Impact Sockets – the traditional square drive is replaced with a proprietary spline-type interface that fits tighter and has more load bearing surface.
Peterson noted that one of the trends driving ISN’s business this year is simply “tools.”
“Sometimes [tools] get old, but there's always new versions addressing different challenges,” Peterson said.
He went on to explain how VIM Tools is a perfect example of this product focus, and how through that they’ve managed to significantly grow their business in just a few years.
“[VIM Tools] is a classic example of a supplier that gets a client and listens and takes feedback from the professional technician around what they need and how to best utilize the tools and equipment,” Peterson said.
ISN will celebrate its 25th anniversary of the Tool Dealer Expo around the same time next year in Orlando, Florida.
