Silliker comes to organization after 10 years at Thomson Reuters

Endeavor Business Media's Vehicle Repair Group has named Amanda Silliker as the editor of Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN) and Professional Distributor magazines. These premier brands keep readers up to date with the latest tools and equipment in the automotive aftermarket, with PTEN alone reaching 300,000 industry professionals.

Silliker brings 10 years of experience in B2B publishing. Most recently, she was the editor of Canadian Occupational Safety magazine, published by Thomson Reuters, where she was also responsible for the brand’s Canada’s Safest Employers awards program. She is an award-winning journalist, having won national and international awards for her work, and she is always looking for new ways to engage the reader.

“It’s an absolute honor to work on such well-respected brands and within such a down-to-earth industry,” Silliker said. “I am excited to meet the readers and find new ways to grow PTEN, Professional Distributor and the vehicleservicepros.com website.”

Silliker has held previous roles at Canadian HR Reporter, Canadian Family and Dance Magazine in New York. She has conducted numerous speaking engagements at conferences and industry events, as well as moderated panels with industry experts.

“Amanda’s presence on the team is already making such an impact,” said Krista McNamara, editorial director for Endeavor’s Vehicle Repair Group. “Her initiative, passion and editorial standards will help us to continue to build on the value the PTEN and Professional Distributor brands provide both our readers and advertisers.”
