Philips Automotive Lighting N.A. names new Midwest Account Manager

Veteran sales executive Richard Zeichner will also manage aftermarket OES accounts.

Philips Automotive Lighting North America has just announced the appointment of Richard Zeichner as its Midwest Account Manager. He will be responsible for all sales activities in the Mid-western U.S. as well as national OES accounts within the automotive aftermarket channel. The announcement was made by Dennis Samfilippo, Philips General Manager, who noted that Richard Zeichner is a dynamic and results driven sales leader who brings a great deal of valuable sales and management expertise to the Philips automotive aftermarket business.

Prior to joining Philips, Zeichner was VP Sales for Guidepoint Systems (Madison Heights, MI) and was responsible for the distribution of GPS vehicle tracking systems throughout North America. He led a team of 23 sales, customer service, and technical personnel and helped increase overall revenue four fold over a three-year period.

From 2006-2008, Zeichner worked at IBiquity Digital in Columbia, MD, as the business development manager of OEM dealer programs. Zeichner managed the sales and distribution of HD radio technology throughout North America and successfully negotiated a dealer accessory program with Ford Motor Company.

Zeichner also served as National Sales/Eastern Regional Manager Ford Motor Company/Visteon Corporation, Van Buren Twp, MI (2000-2006), Western Regional Sales Manager for Auto Wax Company, Inc. Dallas, TX (1998-2000), and Western Regional Sales Manager for Code Alarm, Inc., Madison Heights, MI (1992-1998).

Zeichner holds a BA in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts.
