ASA Texas to become Texas Auto Care Alliance

Dec. 3, 2021
ASA Texas will join forces with the Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) with other alliances.
The Automotive Service Association (ASA) of Texas Board of Directors recently voted to become the Texas Auto Care Alliance. The vote was in response to all ASA affiliates having their affiliation terminated by the Automotive Service Association in September.
ASA Texas will join forces with the Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) and other alliances, including ASA Northwest (soon to be Northwest Auto Care Alliance), ASA Illinois (soon to be MWACA Greater Chicagoland), and ASA Pennsylvania (soon to be Mid-Atlantic Auto Care Alliance).
ASA Texas will immediately begin the transition with the completion of the changeover to be completed by January 1, 2022.
"I am very excited that the ASA Texas Board of Directors has chosen to join forces with the Midwest Auto Care Alliance and other Auto Care Alliance members," stated Robert Gruener, president of ASA Texas and owner of Autotechtronics in Katy, Texas. "I feel like this will benefit our members in a very positive way and the future looks very bright for the independent automotive service professionals in Texas."
In September 2018, the ASA-Midwest affiliate left the Automotive Service Association to form an independent organization, the Midwest Auto Care Alliance. Since departing, MWACA has grown in membership numbers and services provided to its members and the industry. The newly formed Texas Auto Care Alliance plans to follow suit with the same proven-success path.
“The ASA Texas board is passionate about their organization and serving their members," said Sheri Hamilton, MWACA executive director. "We look forward to assisting TXACA and its members with the numerous programs and benefits that have already been established through the Auto Care Alliance. As a member-focused and member-directed organization, MWACA has achieved much growth and success over the three years. With these new programs and benefits in place, TXACA will have the same results for their members, vendors and partners.”
