Bosch recently announced it will offer new remote OEM diagnostic software capabilities on its diagnostic vehicle communication interface (DVCI) products, including the Bosch ADS 525X and 625X scan tools, staring in early 2022.
"As vehicle technology has become increasingly advanced and technician access requirements more secure, Bosch has continued to support the whole workshop for repair and maintenance by providing solutions that make diagnostic and repair work easier and more efficient," said Michael Simon, director strategic accounts at Bosch. “The addition of new remote OEM software capabilities improves productivity in the aftermarket, enabling technicians to fix it right the first time, and further positions Bosch as the world leader in automotive diagnostics.”
Users will be able to utilize licensed and authorized OEM diagnostic software remotely on most major vehicle brands, via a single user interface. ASE-certified technicians will be able to perform complex scans remotely in real-time at the vehicle, using internet-connected scan tools.
Reports generated by OEM diagnostic software will be gathered in a central database with the ability to be sent to clients or insurance carriers directly or be made available for access at a later date.
