Chilton, part of Cengage Learning and an established leader in reference sources for automotive professionals and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) automotive enthusiasts, announced new editions of their highly-regarded Labor Guides and Domestic Service Manuals. Updated to cover the most currently available model information, these new guides and manuals will keep automotive technicians up-to-date and knowledgeable of all repair information and labor times.
The Chilton 2012 Labor Guide: Domestic & Imported Vehicles (also available in a CD-ROM version) features current labor operations that reflect the latest technologies in today’s automobiles. Covering more than three decades of information, this new edition provides accurate labor times for import and domestic vehicles ranging from 1981 to available 2012 models. The guides were meticulously created with consideration for warranty times, component locations, work environments, technician training and tools to be used.
In addition to the accurate labor times included in the print guide, the CD-ROM version of the Chilton 2012 Labor Guide also includes a parts list to simplify adding parts to an estimate or work order; keyword search engine that enables users to input a search term and quickly find the information they need; and a calendar feature, to quickly locate work requests by day, week and month.
Also available in coming months, the 2012 Chilton Service Manuals for General Motors, Chrysler and Ford feature a compilation of the most current automotive repair information available. As the first three sets of manuals to be made available in the 2012 series, each one contains information detailing procedures and tasks necessary to perform repairs on domestic makes and models. Detailed procedures and graphics help technicians accurately and efficiently diagnose and repair late and current vehicles.
