TaskMobile Lite delivers solutions for mechanics on the go

Savvy mechanics looking for the edge in mobile technology need to look no further. The new Mac Tools OBD II TaskMobile Lite smartphone application provides professionals with vocabulary definitions of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that cause a vehicle's check engine light to illuminate. The free app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

"It's difficult to remember more than 5,000 diagnostic trouble codes," said Paul Zarlengo, Mac Tools product manager for diagnostics. "The TaskMobile Lite will provide mechanics a dictionary of diagnostic trouble codes in the palm of their hands and enable pros to get the job done faster and more efficiently."

Easy to use, a mechanic simply must enter the numerical code provided from their diagnostic scanner and hit "Check Code." In an instant, the code definition will be retrieved. In addition, the application keeps a running DTC history of all entered codes for translation.

The app also features a reference section that includes a history of Mac Tools, critical diagnostics products for purchase via MacTools.com, frequently asked questions and an easy how-to-use guide.
