Violet light LED provides fluorescent dye response and contrast.

Tracer Products introduced its Tracerline TP-8655  OPTI-PRO Plus, a cordless, rechargeable, UV LED leak detection flaghlight. It has been designed to emit less light, making leaks clearer and easier to find. The OPTI-PRO Plus is engineered with a high-output, violet light LED that provides fluorescent dye response and contrast. This ensures that each and every leak glows strongly. It works with all Tracerline universal/ester and PAG A/C dyes, as well as TP-3400, TP-3405, TP-3900 and TP-3940 fluid dyes.

The OPTI-PRO Plus has an inspection range of 20' (6.1m) or more. Its light weight and compact body can get into tight, cramped areas that larger lamps cannot. The flashlight's rugged, corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum body stands up to years of heavy shop use. With power comparable to high-intensity, 125-watt lamps, it provides four hours of continuous inspection between charges. The unit has a 100,000 LED service life.

The OPTI-PRO features convenient, on-board charging and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included). The flashlight also comes with a lanyard, smart A/C charger and fluorescence-enhancing glasses.
