Fluid Rx Diagnostics now tests fluid condition of German vehicles

Sept. 5, 2014
The new Fluid Rx Diagnostics was developed specifically for dealerships of these vehicles and their specialty fluids including Pentosin Power steering and CVT fluids as well as conventional power steering, brake, ATF and gear oils.

Fluid Rx Diagnostics, a leader in instant lubricant testing and evaluation, has expanded its line of Fluid-Science Report Cards to include the latest proprietary vital fluids used in German made vehicles including BMW, Mini, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Range Rover and Volkswagen.

The new Fluid Rx Diagnostics part number 95120-GER was developed specifically for dealerships of these vehicles and their specialty fluids including Pentosin Power steering and CVT fluids as well as conventional power steering, brake, ATF and gear oils.

“The Science of Good Business includes showing your customer proof when it’s time to change vital fluids”, said Ron McElroy – CEO of Magna-Guard, Inc.  “Our technology, radial planar chromatographic analysis, does exactly that.”

Here’s how it works - all modern lubricants contain additives that help inhibit breakdown.  As these additives are depleted, sludge is formed.  One drop of sample fluid is placed on the test sheet.  As the fluid percolates through the unique filter paper, bands and/or zones of different hues and densities, even unwanted wear metals and debris form a chromatogram.  Changes in the appearance of the zones or bands are a clear indication that something in the lubricant has changed.  A closer look at the zones, their unique formation, and the debris fields contained therein reveals high particle-counts that can be correlated to ISO Code.

The patented Fluid Rx Instant Lubricant Diagnostics tools are correlated to laboratory analysis by SGS Herguth laboratories.  They are designed so that the consumer sees what the service personnel see, instantly and at the same time.  There is no guesswork, and the results are verified within seconds.  They provide customers with the test results and a record going forward as well as an overview of the technology and benefits of performing needed fluid services.

“The Fluid Science program has given my technicians a tool that ensures consistent recommendations to our customers,” said Darrell Wageman –Shop Forman of Dan Cava Toyota World in Whitehall, WV.   “This has given our Service Advisors much more confidence in obtaining customer approval for the needed service.”

The BAR (California Bureau of Automotive Repair) expects repair facilities to provide full disclosure with a proven method consumers can trust and rely upon.  The CalABC (California Automotive Business Coalition), which represents the automotive aftermarket to Government, concluded and published:  “Instant Lubricant Diagnostics – the best strategy to identify and recommend vehicle fluid change intervals.”

Knowledge is power - Fluid Rx Diagnostics provides both the technician and customer with the information needed to make informed decisions regarding fluid service.  Providing Instant Lubricant Test results to consumers ups ticket averages and bolsters customer loyalty and retention.
